Hushai added, “You know that your father and his men are strong men. They are as dangerous as a wild bear when something has taken its babies. Your father is a skilled fighter. He will not stay {all night} with the people.


Powerful people will become\par weak and hungry.\par But the people that go to God for help\par will have every good thing.\par


Lord, those people are like lions.\par So Lord, break their teeth.\par


There will be no dangers on that road. There will be no lions on that road to hurt people. There will be no dangerous animals on that road. That road will be for the people God saves.


The enemy shouts, and their shout is like a lion’s roar. It is loud like a young lion. The enemy growls and grabs the people it is fighting against. The people struggle and try to escape. But there is no person to save them.


Young lions’ (enemies) roar at Israel.\par The lions growl.\par Lions have destroyed the land of Israel.\par The cities of Israel have been burned.\par There are no people left in them.\par


Listen to the crying shepherds.\par Their powerful leaders were taken away.\par Listen to the roaring of the young lions.\par Their thick bushes near the Jordan River\par have all been taken away.\par
