“\{My people say,\}\par ‘God saves us.\par His name is:\par The Lord All-Powerful,\par The Holy One of Israel.’”\par


Yes, they are citizens of the Holy City {\cf2\super [412]} .\par They depend on the God of Israel.\par The Lord All-Powerful is his Name.\par


But the Lord is the only true God.\par He is the only God who is truly alive.\par He is the King that rules forever.\par The earth shakes when God is angry.\par The people of the nations can’t stop his anger.\par


But Jacob’s God {\cf2\super [83]} is not like those idols.\par God made everything.\par And Israel is the family that God chose to be his own people.\par God’s name is “Lord All-Powerful.”\par


Look! The enemy rises up like a cloud.\par His chariots {\cf2\super [25]} look like a wind storm.\par His horses are faster than eagles.\par It will be very bad for us!\par We are ruined!\par


A lion has come out of his cave.\par A destroyer of nations has begun to march.\par He has left his home\par to destroy your land.\par Your towns will be destroyed.\par There will be no people left to live in them.\par


But, listen to the message from the Lord, all you people of Judah that are living in Egypt: ‘I use my great name and make this promise: I promise none of the people of Judah that are now living in Egypt will ever again use my name to make promises. They will never again say, “As surely as the Lord lives,”


The enemy will attack Moab.\par The enemy will enter those towns\par and destroy them.\par Her best young men will be killed\par in the slaughter.”\par This message is from the King.\par The King’s name is the Lord All Powerful.\par


But people are so stupid.\par They don’t understand what God has done.\par Skilled workers make statues of false gods.\par Those statues are only false gods.\par They show how foolish that worker is.\par Those statues are not alive.\par

Some people have good, male animals that they could give as sacrifices. \{But they don’t give those good animals to me.\} Some people bring good animals to me. They promise to give those healthy animals to me. But then they secretly exchange those good animals and they give me sick animals. Bad things will happen to those people! I am the Great King. \{You should respect me!\} People all around the world respect me!” The Lord All-Powerful said those things!


Don’t make a vow using the name of the earth, because the earth belongs to God. Don’t make a vow using the name of Jerusalem, because that is the city of the great King (God).


Honor and glory to the King that rules forever. He cannot be destroyed and cannot be seen. Honor and glory forever and ever to the only God. Amen.
