The Lord, the God of Israel, said: “The people of Judah were taken from their country. Their enemy brought them to Babylon. Those people will be like these good figs. I will be kind to those people.


“Build houses and live in them. Settle in the land. Plant gardens and eat the food you grow.


If a trumpet blows a warning, then the people will surely shake with fear. If trouble comes to a city, then the Lord caused it.
