He was the Angel who saved me from all my troubles. And I pray that he will bless these boys. Now these boys will have my name and the name of our ancestors, Abraham and Isaac. I pray that they will grow to become great families and nations on earth.”


Evil people might attack me.\par They might try to destroy my body.\par My enemies might try to attack\par and destroy me.\par


The Lord helps good people\par and saves them.\par Good people depend on the Lord,\par and he saves them from bad people.\par


People who love the Lord hate evil.\par So God saves his followers.\par God saves his followers from evil people.\par


This will happen when the mean and cruel people are finished. It will happen when those people that enjoy doing bad things are gone.


There are many strangers there— like very small pieces of dust. There are many cruel people—like chaff {\cf2\super [266]} blowing in the wind.


“Those people hurt you.\par But I will force those people\par to eat their own bodies.\par Their own blood will be\par the wine that makes them drunk.\par Then every person will know that\par the Lord saved you.\par All people will know that\par the Powerful One of Jacob saved you.”\par


“People will make weapons to fight against you, but those weapons will not defeat you. Some people will say things against you. But every person that speaks against you will be shown to be wrong.”


Nations \{will give you everything you need\}.\par It will be like a child\par drinking milk from its mother.\par But you will ‘drink’ riches from kings.\par Then you will know that it is I, the Lord,\par who saves you.\par You will know that the Great God of Jacob protects you.\par


The Lord’s message came to me:


Sing to the Lord! Praise the Lord!\par The Lord saves the lives of poor people!\par He saves them from wicked people!\par


There was an important man named Ahikam son of Shaphan. Ahikam supported Jeremiah. So Ahikam kept Jeremiah from being killed by the priests and prophets.


The Lord will bring Jacob {\cf2\super [251]} back.\par The Lord will save his people from people\par that were stronger than them.\par


So Jeremiah stayed under guard in the temple yard until the day Jerusalem was captured.


But Nebuchadnezzar gave some orders to Nebuzaradan about Jeremiah. Nebuzaradan was the commander of Nebuchadnezzar’s special guards. These were the orders:


“Find Jeremiah and take care of him. Don’t hurt him. Give him whatever he asks for.”


But God will get those people back.\par His name is the Lord God All-Powerful.\par He will defend those people very strongly.\par He will defend them so that he can let that land rest.\par But there will be no rest\par for the people living in Babylon.”\par


If you throw us into the hot furnace, then the God we serve can save us. And if he wants to, he can save us from your power.


The king said, “Look! I see four men walking around in the fire. They are not tied up and they are not burned. The fourth man looks like an angel! {\cf2\super [35]}


Don’t let us be tempted (tested);\par but save us from the Evil One\par (the devil).’ {\cf2\super [77]} \par


The God that brings peace will soon defeat Satan (the devil) and give you power over him.


God saved us from these great dangers of death. And God will continue to save us. We have put our hope in him, and he will continue to save us.
