God brought peace to your country.\par So enemies did not take your grain in war.\par And you have plenty of grain for food.\par


\{All these things show that there will be peace\}—no person will hurt any other person. People on my holy mountain will not want to destroy things. Why? Because people will truly know the Lord. They will be full of knowledge \{about him\} like the sea is full of water.


Then God will be a judge for the people of all nations. God will end the arguments for many people. Those people will stop using their weapons for fighting. They will make plows from their swords. And they will use their spears as tools for cutting plants. People will stop fighting against other people. People will never again train for war.


At that time, people will sing this song in Judah:


Open the gates\par and the good people will enter.\par Those people obey God’s good teachings.\par


Troubles came to Jerusalem in groups of two; stealing and rationing food, great hunger and fighting.


You will be built on goodness.\par So you will be safe\par from cruelty and fear.\par You will have nothing to fear.\par Nothing will come to hurt you.\par


Your gates will always be open.\par They will not be closed night or day.\par Nations and kings will bring\par their wealth to you.\par


“You now have copper,\par I will bring you gold.\par You now have iron,\par I will bring you silver.\par I will change your wood into copper.\par I will change your rocks into iron.\par I will change your punishment into peace.\par People now hurt you,\par but people will do good things for you.\par


The earth causes plants to grow.\par People plant seeds in the garden,\par and the garden makes them grow.\par In the same way, the Lord\par will make goodness grow.\par The Lord will make praise grow\par in all the nations.”\par


Come through the gates!\par Make the way clear for the people!\par Prepare the road!\par Move all the stones off the road!\par Raise the flag as a sign for the people!\par


You will never again be called\par ‘The People that God had Left.’\par Your land will never again be called\par ‘The Land that God Destroyed.’\par You will be called\par ‘The People God Loves.’\par Your land will be called\par ‘God’s Bride.’\par Why? Because the Lord loves you.\par And your land will belong to him.\par


You must pray to the Lord\par until he makes Jerusalem a city\par that people on earth will praise.\par


He measured the four walls that went all the way around \{the temple\}. The wall was 500 cubits long and 500 cubits wide. It separated the holy area from the area that is not holy.


Then God will be a judge\par for the people of many nations.\par God will end the arguments\par for many {\cf2\super [49]} people in faraway countries.\par Those people will stop using their weapons\par for fighting.\par They will make plows from their swords.\par And they will use their spears\par as tools for cutting plants.\par People will stop fighting other people.\par People will never again train for war.\par


At that time, I will punish the people\par that hurt you.\par I will save my hurt people.\par I will bring back the people\par that were forced to run away.\par And I will make them famous.\par People everywhere will praise them.\par


The Lord says,\par ‘I will be a wall of fire around her,\par protecting her.\par And to bring glory to that city,\par I will live there.’”\par


\{The people of Babylon took my people\par and made them slaves.\}\par But I will beat them, and they will become\par the slaves of my people.\par And then you will know\par that the Lord All-Powerful sent me.”\par


I will not let enemy armies pass through it. I will not let them hurt my people any more. With my own eyes I saw how much my people suffered \{in the past\}.”
