13 All the great things of Lebanon {\cf2\super [453]} \par will be given to you.\par People will bring pine trees, fir trees,\par and cypress trees to you.\par These trees will be used for lumber\par to make my holy place {\cf2\super [454]} more beautiful.\par This place is like a stool\par in front of my throne,\par And I will give it much honor.\par

King David stood up and said, “Listen to me, my brothers and my people. In my heart I wanted to build a place to keep the Box of the Lord’s Agreement. {\cf2\super [299]} I wanted to build a place that would be God’s footstool. {\cf2\super [300]} And I made the plans for building that house for God.


“Now, Sir, you offered to give us wheat, barley, oil, and wine. Give those things to my servants.


{\cf2\super [52]} Blessed is the Lord,\par the God of our ancestors.\par God put the idea into the king’s heart\par to honor the Lord’s temple in Jerusalem.\par


Let’s go to the Holy Tent.\par Let’s worship at the stool\par where God rests his feet. {\cf2\super [619]} \par


There is a beautiful glory\par shining in front of him.\par There is strength and beauty\par in God’s holy temple.\par


Praise the Lord our God,\par and worship his holy footstool. {\cf2\super [534]} \par


The desert will be full of growing flowers and will begin to show its happiness. It will seem like the desert is dancing with joy. The desert will be beautiful like the forest of Lebanon, {\cf2\super [327]} the hill of Carmel, {\cf2\super [328]} and Sharon Valley. {\cf2\super [329]} This will happen because all people will see the Glory of the Lord. {\cf2\super [330]} People will see the beauty of our God.


Large cypress trees will grow\par where there were bushes.\par Myrtle trees will grow\par where there were weeds.\par These things will make the Lord famous.\par These things will be proof\par \{that the Lord is powerful\}.\par This proof will never be destroyed.”\par


People will collect all the sheep from Kedar\par and give them to you.\par They will bring you rams from Nebaioth.\par You will offer those animals on my altar.\par And I will accept them.\par I will make my wonderful temple {\cf2\super [452]} \par even more beautiful.\par


This is what the Lord says,\par “The skies are my throne.\par The earth is my footstool.\par So do you think you can build\par a house for me?\par No! You can’t!\par Can you give me a place to rest?\par No! You can’t!\par


As I walked back along the side of the river, I saw very many trees on both sides of the water.
