There will be only a few people left. There will not be many, the same as gold is hard to find. And these people will be worth much more than pure gold.

The Lord All-Powerful said this to me, and I heard him, “There are many houses now. But I promise that all the houses will be destroyed. There are nice, big houses now. But those houses will be empty.


“I (the Lord) have abandoned my house.\par I have left my own property. {\cf2\super [101]} \par I have given the one I love (Judah)\par to her enemies.\par


I will make the people of Judah\par an example of some terrible thing\par for all the people on earth.\par I will do this to the people of Judah\par because of what Manasseh {\cf2\super [127]} did in Jerusalem.\par Manasseh was the son of King Hezekiah.\par Manasseh was a king of Judah.’\par


The people of Judah will hear the sound\par of the horse soldiers and the archers, {\cf2\super [30]} \par and the people will run away!\par Some of the people will hide in caves, {\cf2\super [31]} \par some people will hide in the bushes,\par some people will climb up into the rocks.\par All of the cities of Judah will be empty.\par No person will live in them.\par


You seem to have forgotten us forever, Lord.\par You seem to have left us alone\par for such a long time.\par


I will destroy all the people and all the animals. I will destroy the birds in the air and the fish in the sea. I will destroy the evil people and all the things that make them sin. I will remove all people from the earth.” The Lord said those things!


God turned away from the Jews. When that happened, God became friends with the other people in the world. So when God accepts the Jews, then surely that will bring to people life after death.


The Lord will scatter you among all the people in the world. The Lord will scatter you from one end of the earth to the other. There you will serve false gods made of wood and stone. They are false gods that you or your ancestors [188] never worshiped.
