I know there is someone to defend me.\par I know he lives!\par And in the end he will stand here on earth\par and defend me.\par


The people that are left in Jacob’s family will again follow the powerful God.


Your people are very many. They are like the sands of the sea. But only a few of the people will be left to come back to the Lord. Those people will return to God, but first, your country will be destroyed. God has announced that he will destroy the land. And then goodness will come into the land; it will be like a river flowing full.


Zion, {\cf2\super [374]} you have good news to tell.\par Go up on a high mountain\par and shout the good news!\par Jerusalem, you have good news to tell.\par Don’t be afraid, speak loudly!\par


Nations \{will give you everything you need\}.\par It will be like a child\par drinking milk from its mother.\par But you will ‘drink’ riches from kings.\par Then you will know that it is I, the Lord,\par who saves you.\par You will know that the Great God of Jacob protects you.\par


Listen, the Lord is speaking to all the faraway lands:\par “Tell the people of Zion: {\cf2\super [456]} \par Look, your Savior is coming.\par He is bringing your reward to you.\par He is bringing that reward with him.”\par


All of those terrible things happened to us. This happened just like it is written in the Law of Moses. But we still have not asked the Lord for help! We still have not stopped sinning. We still do not pay attention to your truth, Lord.


And then, any person\par that calls on the name of the Lord\par will be saved.\par There will be survivors on Mount Zion {\cf2\super [23]} and in Jerusalem,\par just like the Lord said.\par Yes, the survivors that the Lord is calling\par will come \{back\}.\par


I began telling people that they should change their hearts and lives and turn back to God. I told the people to do things that show that they really changed their hearts. I told these things first to people in Damascus. Then I went to Jerusalem and to every part of Judea and told these things to the people there. I also went to the non-Jewish people.


So you must change your hearts and lives! Come back to God and he will forgive your sins.


God has sent his special servant (Jesus). God sent him to you first. God sent Jesus to bless you. He does this by making each of you turn away from doing bad things.”


Try to live in peace with all people. And try to live lives free from sin. If a person’s life is not holy, {\cf2\super [160]} then he will never see the Lord.
