I am nothing but a servant. {And you have been so kind to me.} But you have also said these kind things about my future family. Lord, my Master, you don’t always talk like this to people, do you?


Naaman became angry and left. He said, “I thought Elisha would at least come out and stand in front of me and call on the name of the Lord his God. I thought he would wave his hand over my body and heal the leprosy [45] !


Job, look up at the sky.\par Look up at the clouds\par that are higher than you.\par


The Lord is kind and true to people\par who follow his Agreement and promises. {\cf2\super [152]} \par


But the Lord’s advice is good forever.\par His plans are good for\par generation after generation.\par


Lord, our God, you have done many wonderful things!\par You have wonderful plans for us.\par No person could list them all!\par I will tell again and again about\par those things\par that are too many to count.\par


Lord, you did such great things.\par Your thoughts are too hard for us to understand.\par


Bad people always try to cheat other people. But good people are honest and fair.


The sky is high above and the ground is under us. It is the same with the minds of kings. We can’t understand them.


The Lord All-Powerful has made a promise. The Lord said, “I promise, these things will happen exactly like I thought. These things will happen exactly the way I planned.


But \{even after he did this,\} all of us wandered away like sheep. We all went our own way. \{We did this after\} the Lord \{freed us from our guilt and\} put all our guilt on him.


That will happen when you stop sinning against God’s law about the Sabbath. {\cf2\super [447]} And that will happen when you stop doing things to please yourself on that special day. You should call the Sabbath a happy day. You should honor the Lord’s special day. You should honor that special day by not doing and saying those things you do every other day.


“I stood ready to accept people that turned against me. I was waiting for those people to come to me. But they continued living a way that is not good. They did anything their hearts wanted to do.


“Those people have evil thoughts and do evil things. So I am coming to punish them. I will gather all nations and all people. All people will come together and see my power.


“If a man divorces his wife,\par and she leaves him\par and marries another man,\par can that man come back to his wife again?\par No! If that man went back to that woman, {\cf2\super [14]} \par then that land would become ‘dirty.’\par Judah, you acted like a prostitute\par with many lovers (false gods).\par And now you want to come back to me!”\par This message was from the Lord.\par


The people of Israel said, “That’s not fair! \{The Lord\} my Master isn’t fair!”


Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, give praise, honor, and glory to the King of Heaven. Everything he does is right. He is always fair. And he is able to make proud people humble!


A wise person understands these things.\par A smart person should learn these things.\par The Lord’s ways are right.\par Good people will live by them.\par Sinners will die by them. {\cf2\super [153]} \par


But the Lord said to Samuel, “Eliab is tall and handsome. But don’t think about things like that. God does not look at the things people see. People look only at the outside of a person, but the Lord looks at his heart. Eliab is not the right man.”
