“Look at my Servant!\par I support him.\par He is the one I chose.\par And I am very pleased with him.\par I put my Spirit in him.\par He will judge the nations fairly.\par


These are the people I made. And these people will sing songs to praise me.


The skies are happy because the Lord did great things.\par The earth is happy, even deep down under the earth!\par The mountains sing with thanks to God.\par All the trees in the forest are happy!\par Why? Because the Lord saved Jacob.\par The Lord did great things for Israel.\par


The people that respect the Lord also listen to his servant. That servant lives completely trusting in God without knowing what will happen. He truly trusts in the Lord’s name, and that servant depends on his God.


“Look at my Servant. He will be very successful. {\cf2\super [427]} He will be very important. \{In the future\} people will honor and respect him.


The Lord decided to crush him. The Lord decided that he must suffer, so the Servant gave himself to be the one to die. But he will live a new life for a long, long time. He will see his people. He will complete the things the Lord wants him to do.


Then Moses said to Aaron, “The Lord says, ‘The priests that come near me must respect me! I must be holy to them and to all the people.’” So Aaron did not say anything {about his sons dying}.


Listen to me High Priest Joshua and\par your fellow priests seated before you.\par These men are examples\par that show what will happen\par when I bring my special servant.\par He is called, THE BRANCH.\par


While Peter was talking, a bright cloud came over them. A voice came from the cloud. The voice said, “This (Jesus) is my Son and I love him. I am very pleased with him. Obey him!”


Father, do what will bring you glory!”


You should make much fruit and show that you are my followers. This brings glory to my Father.


After Jesus said these things he looked toward heaven. Jesus prayed, “Father, the time has come. Give glory to your Son so that the Son can give glory to you.


I finished the work you gave me to do. I brought you glory on earth.


And this brings praise to God because of his wonderful grace (kindness). God gave that grace to us freely. He gave us that grace in \{Christ,\} the One he loves.


This will happen on the day when the Lord \{Jesus\} comes. Jesus will come to receive glory with his holy people. {\cf2\super [2]} And all the people who have believed will be amazed at Jesus. You will be in that group of believers, because you believed the things we told you.


But you are chosen people. You are the King’s priests. You are a holy {\cf2\super [20]} nation of people. You are people who belong to God. God chose you to tell about the wonderful things he has done. He called (brought) you out of darkness (sin) into his wonderful light.
