The pastures are covered with sheep.\par The valleys are filled with grain.\par Everyone is singing and shouting with happiness.\par


Praise God, heaven and earth!\par Sea and everything in it, praise the Lord!\par


Help me do greater things than before.Continue to comfort me.


God, you have the power!\par Your power is great!\par The victory is yours!\par


At that time, you will say:\par “I praise you Lord!\par You have been angry at me.\par But don’t be angry with me now!\par Show your love to me.”\par


\{In the future,\} the Lord will again show his love to Jacob. The Lord will again choose the people of Israel. \{At that time,\} the Lord will give those people their land. The desert will become a garden like the garden of Eden. That land was empty, but it will become like the Lord’s Garden. People there will be very, very happy. People there will show their joy. They will sing songs about thanks and victory.


Jerusalem, your destroyed buildings\par will be happy again.\par You will all rejoice together.\par Why? Because the Lord will be kind\par to Jerusalem.\par The Lord will rescue his people.\par


God says,\par “I left you,\par but only for a short time.\par I will gather you to me again.\par And I will show you great kindness.\par


I became very angry\par and hid from you for a short time.\par But I will comfort you with kindness forever.”\par The Lord your Savior said this.\par


My words will go out with happiness,\par and they will bring peace.\par Mountains and hills will begin dancing with happiness.\par All the trees in the fields will clap their hands.\par
