Now the leaders of the people of Israel moved into the city of Jerusalem. The other people of Israel had to decide who else would move into the city. So they threw lots, {\cf2\super [68]} and one out of every ten people had to live in Jerusalem, the holy city. The other nine people could live in their own home towns.


So, there were 284 Levites that moved into Jerusalem, the holy city.


The Lord is great.\par People praise him very much\par in the city of our God,\par \{on\} his holy mountain.\par


City of God, people say wonderful things\par about you.\par \i (SELAH {\cf2\super [496]})\i0 \par


At that time, the people that are left living in Israel, the people from Jacob’s family, will not continue to depend on the person that beats them. They will learn to truly depend on the Lord, the Holy One of Israel.


“\{My people say,\}\par ‘God saves us.\par His name is:\par The Lord All-Powerful,\par The Holy One of Israel.’”\par


The Lord made you.\par With his power he made the earth!\par And with his power he spread the skies\par over the earth!\par But you forget him and his power.\par So you are always afraid of angry men\par that hurt you.\par Those men planned to destroy you.\par But where are they now?\par \{They are all gone\}!\par


“I, the Lord, am your God.\par I stir up the sea and make the waves.”\par (The Lord All-Powerful is his name.)\par


Wake up! Wake up Zion! {\cf2\super [420]} \par Dress yourself!\par Put on your strength!\par Holy Jerusalem, stand up!\par People that have not agreed\par to follow God {\cf2\super [421]} \par will not enter you again.\par Those people are not pure and clean.\par


But Jacob’s God {\cf2\super [83]} is not like those idols.\par God made everything.\par And Israel is the family that God chose to be his own people.\par God’s name is “Lord All-Powerful.”\par


Pashhur and Zephaniah said to Jeremiah, “Pray to the Lord for us. Ask the Lord what will happen. We want to know, because Nebuchadnezzar, the king of Babylon, is attacking us. Maybe the Lord will do great things for us, like he did in the past. Maybe the Lord will make Nebuchadnezzar stop attacking us and leave.”


But, listen to the message from the Lord, all you people of Judah that are living in Egypt: ‘I use my great name and make this promise: I promise none of the people of Judah that are now living in Egypt will ever again use my name to make promises. They will never again say, “As surely as the Lord lives,”


“God has allowed 70 weeks {\cf2\super [105]} for your people and your holy city, Daniel. The 70 weeks {\cf2\super [106]} are ordered for these reasons: to stop doing bad things, to stop sinning, to make people pure, to bring the goodness that continues forever, to put a seal {\cf2\super [107]} on visions {\cf2\super [108]} and prophets, and to dedicate a very holy place.


The judges in Jerusalem accept bribes\par to help them decide who wins in court.\par The priests in Jerusalem must be paid\par before they will teach the people.\par People must pay the prophets\par before they will look into the future.\par And then those leaders expect the Lord\par to help them. They say,\par “The Lord lives here with us.\par So nothing bad will happen to us.”\par


Those people came out of the graves. After Jesus was raised from death, those people went into the holy city (Jerusalem), and many people saw them.


Then the devil led Jesus to the holy city (Jerusalem). The devil put Jesus on a very high place on the temple. {\cf2\super [49]}


What about you? You say you are a Jew. You trust in the law and boast that you are close to God.


But don’t measure the yard outside the temple. Leave that alone. That has been given to the people who are not Jews. Those people will walk on the holy city for 42 months.


And I saw the holy city coming down out of heaven from God. This holy city is the new Jerusalem. {\cf2\super [157]} It was prepared like a bride dressed for her husband.


And if any person takes away from the words of this book of prophecy, then God will take away that person’s share of the tree of life and of the holy city, which are written about in this book.


And Micah said, “Now I know that the Lord will be good to me. I know this because I have a man from the family group of Levi to be my priest.”
