Those leaders are like a person\par feeling his way in the dark.\par They are like a drunk person\par who doesn’t know where he is going.”\par


They were stumbling\par and falling like drunk men.\par Their skill as sailors was useless.\par


I am guilty of doing bad things.\par And that guilt is like a heavy weight.\par \{I am too ashamed\} to hold my head up.\par


But all criminals and sinners will be destroyed. (They are the people that don’t follow the Lord.)


The Daughter of Zion (Jerusalem) is now like an empty tent left in a field of grapes. It is like an old house left in a field of cucumbers. It is like a city that has been defeated by enemies.”


The Lord made the leaders confused. They wander and lead Egypt in the wrong ways. Everything the leaders do is wrong. They are like drunk people rolling with sickness on the ground.


Look! The Lord will destroy this land. The Lord will completely clean everything from the land. The Lord will force the people to go far away.


But now those leaders are drunk. The priests and prophets are all drunk with wine and beer. They stumble and fall down. The prophets are drunk when they see their dreams. The judges are drunk when they make their decisions.


Be surprised and amazed!\par You will become drunk—\par but not from wine.\par Look and be amazed!\par You will stumble and fall—\par but not from beer.\par


My home, my shepherd’s tent,\par is being pulled down\par and taken from me.\par I am finished\par like the cloth a man rolls up\par and cuts from the loom. {\cf2\super [367]} \par You finished my life in such a short time!\par


Your first father sinned. And your lawyers have done things against me.
