Hebrews 9:4
26 Tagairtí Cros

I have made a place in the temple for the Holy Box. [112] Inside that Holy Box is the Agreement that the Lord made with our ancestors. The Lord made that Agreement when he brought our ancestors out of Egypt.”

The only thing inside the Holy Box were the two tablets. These were the two tablets that Moses put in the Holy Box at the place called Horeb. Horeb was the place that the Lord made his Agreement with the people of Israel after they came out of Egypt.

There was nothing in the Box of the Agreement except the two tablets. {\cf2\super [84]} Moses had put those two tablets in the Box of the Agreement at Mount Horeb. Horeb was the place where the Lord made an Agreement with the people of Israel. That happened after the people of Israel came out of Egypt.

Put the curtain under the gold rings. [205] Then put the Box of the Agreement [206] behind the curtain. This curtain will separate the Holy Place from the Most Holy Place.

So the Lord finished speaking to Moses on Mount Sinai. Then the Lord gave him the two flat stones with the Agreement [325] on them. God used his finger and wrote on the stones.

Then Moses went down the mountain. Moses had the two flat stones with the Agreement [328] on them. Those commandments were written on both sides of the stone, front and back.

Then Moses came down from Mount Sinai. He carried the two flat stones with the Agreement [354] on them. Moses’ face was shining because he had talked with the Lord. But Moses did not know this.

He made the altar [410] for burning incense. [411] He made this from acacia wood. The altar was square. It was 1 cubit [412] long, 1 cubit wide, and 2 cubits [413] high. There were four horns on the altar. There was one horn on each corner. These horns were joined together with the altar to make one piece.

They showed Moses the Box of the Agreement. [473] They showed him the poles used for carrying the Box and they showed him the cover [474] for the Box.

Put the Box of the Agreement [482] in the Holy Tent. Cover the Box with the curtain.

Then he must take a firepan [275] full of coals of fire from the altar [276] before the Lord. Aaron will take two handfuls of sweet incense [277] that has been ground into powder. Aaron must bring that incense into the room behind the curtain.

Then the Lord said to Moses, “Put Aaron’s walking stick {back into the Tent} in front of the Agreement. [228] This will be a warning for these people who are always turning against me. This will stop their complaining against me, so that I won’t destroy them.”

I will choose one man to be the true priest. You will know which man I choose because his walking stick will begin to grow new leaves. In this way, I will stop the people from always complaining against you and me.”

The next day Moses entered the Tent. He saw that Aaron’s walking stick, the stick from the family of Levi, was the one that had grown new leaves. That walking stick had even grown branches and made almonds.

“So, at the end of 40 days and 40 nights, the Lord gave me two flat stones—the stones of the Agreement.

I went up the mountain to get the flat stones. The Agreement that the Lord made with you was written on those stones. I stayed on the mountain 40 days and 40 nights. I did not eat any food or drink any water.

Then God’s temple {\cf2\super [89]} in heaven was opened. The Holy Box of the Agreement {\cf2\super [90]} \{that God gave to his people\} could be seen in his temple. Then there were flashes of lightning, noises, thunder, an earthquake, and a great hailstorm.

Another angel came and stood at the altar. {\cf2\super [61]} This angel had a golden holder for incense. {\cf2\super [62]} The angel was given much incense to offer with the prayers of all God’s holy people. {\cf2\super [63]} The angel put this offering on the golden altar before the throne.
