I wouldn’t tell God\par that I wanted to talk to him.\par That would be like asking\par to be destroyed.\par


The Lord is in his holy palace. {\cf2\super [60]} \par The Lord sits on his throne {\cf2\super [61]} in heaven.\par And he sees everything that happens.\par The Lord watches people closely\par to see if they are good or bad.\par


God is in heaven,\par and he does whatever he wants.\par


God says,\par “Stop fighting\par and learn that I am God!\par I defeat the nations!\par I control the world!”\par


The Lord says,\par “Faraway countries, be quiet\par and come to me!\par Nations be brave. {\cf2\super [375]} \par Come to me and speak.\par We will meet together,\par and we will decide who is right.\par


In the year that King Uzziah {\cf2\super [58]} died, {\cf2\super [59]} I saw my Master. He was sitting on a very high and wonderful throne. {\cf2\super [60]} His long robe filled the temple. {\cf2\super [61]}


This is what the Lord says,\par “The skies are my throne.\par The earth is my footstool.\par So do you think you can build\par a house for me?\par No! You can’t!\par Can you give me a place to rest?\par No! You can’t!\par


Listen! There is a loud noise coming from the city and the temple. {\cf2\super [478]} That noise is the Lord punishing his enemies. The Lord is giving them the punishment they should have.


Then I thought,\par ‘Now I must go where you cannot see me.’\par But I continued looking to your holy temple {\cf2\super [9]} for help.\par


“My soul gave up all hope.\par But then I remembered the Lord.\par Lord, I prayed to you.\par And you heard my prayers in your holy temple. {\cf2\super [11]} \par


Listen, all of you people!\par Earth and everyone on it, {\cf2\super [1]} listen!\par My Master, the Lord will come\par from his holy temple. {\cf2\super [2]} \par My Master will come as a witness {\cf2\super [3]} \par against you.\par
