Then the Pharaoh said, “Also give your brothers some of our best wagons. Tell them to go to Canaan and bring your father and all the women and children back in the wagons.


Don’t worry about bringing all of their belongings. We can give them the best of Egypt.”


But then they told him everything Joseph had said. And Jacob saw the wagons Joseph had sent for him to bring him back to Egypt. Then Jacob became excited and very, very happy.


Then Jacob left Beersheba and traveled to Egypt. His sons, the sons of Israel, brought their father, their wives, and all their children to Egypt. They traveled in the wagons the Pharaoh had sent.


So everything was done that day for the worship of the Lord as King Josiah commanded. The Passover {\cf2\super [446]} was celebrated and the burnt offerings {\cf2\super [447]} were offered on the Lord’s altar. {\cf2\super [448]}


Solomon offered sacrifices {\cf2\super [140]} every day the way Moses commanded. Sacrifices were to be offered on Sabbath days, {\cf2\super [141]} on the New Moon {\cf2\super [142]} celebrations, and on the three yearly holidays. The three yearly holidays were the Festival of Unleavened Bread, the Festival of Weeks, and the Festival of Shelters.


All the people of Israel traveled together from the desert of Sin. They traveled from place to place as the Lord commanded. The people traveled to Rephidim and camped there. There was no water there for the people to drink.


I say you should always obey the king’s command. Do this because you made a promise to God.


Now Jerusalem says,\par “I refused to listen to the Lord.\par So the Lord is right for doing these things.\par So listen, all you people!\par Look at my pain!\par My young women and men\par have gone into captivity.\par


Those crowd of men will come to you. They will come riding on their horses and in their chariots. There will be many, many people. They will have their spears, shields, and helmets. They will gather together around you. I will tell them what you have done to me. And they will punish you their own way.


So Moses obeyed the Lord. He counted them all.
