Genesis 45:1 - Easy To Read Version

1 Joseph could not control himself any longer. He cried in front of all the people who were there. Joseph said, “Tell everyone to leave here.” So all the people left. Only the brothers were left with Joseph. Then Joseph told them who he was.

{Their words made Joseph very sad.} So Joseph left them and cried. After a short time, Joseph went back to them. He took Simeon, one of the brothers, and tied him while the other brothers watched.

“If your brother or sister does something wrong to you, go and tell that person what he did wrong. Do this alone with that person. If that person listens to you, then you have helped that person to be your brother again.


But Jesus was not seen by all the people. Only the witnesses that God had already chosen saw him. We are those witnesses! We ate and drank with Jesus after he was raised from death.


Then they went there a second time. This time, Joseph told his brothers who he was. And Pharaoh learned about Joseph’s family.


Love is not rude, love is not selfish, and love does not become angry easily. Love does not remember wrongs done against it.
