¹¹ The Levites were chosen to serve in my holy place. They guarded the gates of the temple. They served in the temple. They killed the animals for the sacrifices and burnt offerings for the people. They were chosen to help the people and to serve them.

The Levites were more serious about making themselves ready to serve the Lord. They were more serious than the priests.
