13 The Lord my Master says, “I am angry and I will send a storm against you. I am angry and I will send a strong rain. I am angry and I will make hail fall from the sky and completely destroy you!

“Job, have you ever gone into\par the storerooms where I keep\par the snow and the hail?\par


I save the snow and the hail\par for times of trouble,\par for the times of war and battle.\par


God made the rain become hail.\par Lightning struck throughout their country.\par


God gave the command,\par and a strong wind began to blow.\par The waves became higher and higher.\par


God made the fire and hail,\par the snow and smoke,\par and all the stormy winds.\par


The Lord will cause all people to hear his great voice. The Lord will cause all people to see his powerful arm come down with anger. That arm will be like a great fire that burns everything. The Lord’s power will be like a great storm with much rain and hail.


Now the punishment from the Lord\par will come like a storm.\par The Lord’s anger will be like a tornado.\par It will come crashing down\par on the heads of those wicked people.\par


Look how the Lord has set\par the Daughter of Zion {\cf2\super [8]} under a cloud.\par He has thrown the glory of Israel\par from the sky to the ground.\par The Lord didn’t keep in mind that Israel was his footstool,\par on the day of his anger.\par


The Lord was angry and he destroyed\par all the strength of Israel.\par He took away his right hand from Israel.\par He did this when the enemy came.\par He burned like a flaming fire in Jacob. {\cf2\super [11]} \par He was like a fire that burns all around.\par


The Lord bent his bow like an enemy.\par He held his sword in his right hand.\par He killed all the good looking men of Judah.\par The Lord killed them\par as if he were the enemy.\par The Lord poured out his anger.\par He poured it out on the tents of Zion.\par


I (Ezekiel) saw a big storm coming from the north. It was a big cloud with a strong wind, and there was fire flashing from it. Light was shining out all around it. It looked like hot metal {\cf2\super [5]} glowing in a fire.


The wall will fall down. And the people will ask the prophets, ‘What happened to the plaster you put on the wall?’”


then I will really show my anger! I—yes, I (the Lord)—will punish you seven times for your sins!


But the Lord brought a great storm on the sea. The wind made the sea very rough. The storm was very strong and the boat was ready to break apart.


Why? Because I punished you. I sent the diseases that killed your plants. I sent the hail that destroyed the things you made with your hands. I did these things, but still you did not come to me.’ The Lord said these things.”


Then God’s temple {\cf2\super [89]} in heaven was opened. The Holy Box of the Agreement {\cf2\super [90]} \{that God gave to his people\} could be seen in his temple. Then there were flashes of lightning, noises, thunder, an earthquake, and a great hailstorm.


Giant hailstones fell on the people from the sky. These hailstones weighed about 100 pounds each. People cursed God because of this trouble of the hail. This trouble was a terrible thing.


The first angel blew his trumpet. Then hail and fire mixed with blood was poured down on the earth. And one third of the earth and all the green grass and one third of the trees were burned up.
