There were also four tables made from cut stone for the burnt offerings. These tables were 1 1/2 cubits {\cf2\super [343]} long, 1 1/2 cubits {\cf2\super [344]} wide, and 1 cubit {\cf2\super [345]} high. On these tables, the priests put their tools that they used to kill the animals for the burnt offerings and other sacrifices.
The Lord’s servant Moses told the people of Israel how to build altars. So Joshua built the altar the way it was explained in the Book of the Law [42] of Moses. The altar was made from stones that were not cut. No tool had ever been used on those stones. They offered burnt offerings to the Lord on that altar. They also gave fellowship offerings.
