You split the Red Sea in front of them.\par And they walked through on dry land!\par The Egyptian soldiers were chasing them.\par But you threw that enemy into the sea.\par And they sank like a rock into the sea.\par


God gave the command,\par and the Red Sea became dry.\par God led our ancestors through the deep sea,\par on land as dry as the desert.\par

The wind you sent in anger piled the water high. The flowing water became a solid wall. The sea became solid to its deepest parts.


The Lord became angry and divided the sea of Egypt. \{In the same way,\} the Lord will wave his arm over the Euphrates River. He will hit the river, and the river will divide into seven small rivers. The small rivers will not be deep—people will be able to walk across those rivers with their shoes on.


When you have troubles, I am with you. When you cross rivers, you will not be hurt. When you walk through fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not hurt you.


You caused the sea to become dry!\par You dried the waters of the great deep!\par You made the deepest parts of the sea\par into a road.\par Your people crossed over that road\par and were saved.\par


The Lord made you.\par With his power he made the earth!\par And with his power he spread the skies\par over the earth!\par But you forget him and his power.\par So you are always afraid of angry men\par that hurt you.\par Those men planned to destroy you.\par But where are they now?\par \{They are all gone\}!\par


Brothers and sisters, I want you to know what happened to our ancestors {\cf2\super [62]} \{that followed Moses {\cf2\super [63]} \}. They were all under the cloud, and they all walked through the sea.


And immediately, the water stopped flowing. {The water filled behind that place like a dam.} The water piled high a long way up the river—all the way to Adam (a town near Zarethan). The people crossed the river near Jericho.
