“Lord God, please listen to my prayers and to the prayers of your people Israel. Listen to their prayers any time that they ask you for help.


Solomon prayed that prayer to God. He was on his knees in front of the altar. [116] Solomon prayed with his arms raised toward heaven. Then Solomon finished praying and stood.


I hope that the Lord our God will always remember this prayer and the things I have asked. I pray that the Lord will do these things for his servant, the king, and for his people, Israel. I pray that he will do this every day.


The Lord said to him: “I heard your prayer. I heard the things that you asked me to do. You built this temple. And I have made it a holy place. So I will be honored there forever. I will watch over it and think of it always.


Mordecai also gave Hathach a copy of the king’s command to kill the Jews. That command had been sent out all over the city of Susa. He wanted Hathach to show it to Esther and tell her everything. So Peter was kept in jail. But the church was constantly praying to God for Peter.


Then we can use all our time to pray and to teach the word \{of God\}.”


Be happy because you have hope. Be patient when you have troubles. Pray all the time.


The Spirit {\cf2\super [65]} that we received is not a spirit that makes us slaves again and causes us to fear. The Spirit that we have makes us God’s chosen children. And with that Spirit we say, “Abba, {\cf2\super [66]} Father.”


You are God’s children. That is why God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts. The Spirit {\cf2\super [49]} cries out, “Abba, {\cf2\super [50]} Father.”


And in Christ you people are being built together with the other people (the Jews). You are being made into a place where God lives through the Spirit. {\cf2\super [19]}


And I pray that you and all God’s holy people {\cf2\super [27]} will have the power to understand the greatness of Christ’s love. I pray that you can understand how wide and how long and how high and how deep that love is.


I am the least important of all of God’s people. But God gave me this gift—to tell the non-Jewish people the Good News about the riches Christ has. Those riches are too great to understand fully.


Also pray for me. Pray that when I speak, God will give me words so that I can tell the secret truth about the Good News {\cf2\super [48]} without fear.


And I always pray for all of you with joy.


Don’t worry about anything. But pray and ask God for everything you need. And when you pray, always give thanks.


In our prayers we always thank God for you. God is the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.


We thank God because we have heard about the faith you have in Christ Jesus and the love you have for all of God’s people.


Continue praying. And when you pray, always thank God.


First, I tell you to pray for all people. Talk to God about them. Ask him for the things people need, and be thankful to him.


I always remember you in my prayers day and night. I thank God for you in those prayers. He is the God my ancestors {\cf2\super [2]} served. I have always served him, doing what I know is right.


While Christ lived on earth he prayed to God and asked God for help. God is the One who could save him from death, and Jesus prayed to God with loud cries and tears. And God answered Jesus’ prayers because Jesus was humble and did everything God wanted.


The time is near when all things will end. So keep your minds clear, and control yourselves. This will help you to pray.
