God, you protected me and helped me win. You helped me defeat my enemy.


\{The Lord uses me to speak for him.\}\par He uses me like a sharp sword,\par \{But he also protects me,\}\par hiding me in his hand.\par The Lord uses me like a sharp arrow,\par but he also hides me in his arrow bag.\par

He died to make the church holy. {\cf2\super [40]} Christ used the telling of the Good News {\cf2\super [41]} to make the church clean by washing it with water.


But we belong to the day (goodness), so we should control ourselves. We should wear faith and love to protect us. And the hope of salvation should be our helmet.


God’s word {\cf2\super [34]} (message) is alive and working. His word is sharper than the sharpest sword. God’s word cuts all the way into us \{like a sword\}. It cuts deep to the place where the soul and the spirit are joined. God’s word cuts to the center of our joints and our bones. It judges the thoughts and feelings in our hearts.


He held seven stars in his right hand. A sharp two-edged sword came out of his mouth. He looked like the sun shining at its brightest time.


Our brothers defeated him by the blood (death) of the Lamb and by the message \{of God\} they told people. They did not love their lives too much. They were not afraid of death.


A sharp sword comes out of the rider’s mouth. He will use this sword to defeat the nations. He will rule the nations with a rod of iron. He will squeeze \{the grapes\} in the winepress of the terrible anger of God the All-Powerful.


So change your hearts! If you don’t change, I will come to you quickly and fight against those people with the sword that comes out of my mouth.
