People make their plans. But it is the Lord who makes those things happen.


“In the future, I will make this Agreement {\cf2\super [261]} with the people of Israel.” This message is from the Lord. “I will put my teachings in their minds, and I will write them on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people.


Maybe the family of Judah will hear what I am planning to do to them. And maybe they will stop doing bad things. If they will do that, I will forgive them for the bad sins they have done.”


And I will put my Spirit inside you. {\cf2\super [282]} I will change you so you will obey my laws. You will carefully obey my commands.


“‘And my servant David will be the king over them. There will be only one shepherd over all of them. They will live by my rules and obey my laws. They will do the things I tell them.

Yes, God is working in you. God helps you want to do the things that please him. And he gives you the power to do these things.
