That night, he and his men made a surprise attack against the enemy. They defeated the enemy and chased them to Hobah, north of Damascus.


After those things, God decided to test Abraham’s faith. God said to him, “Abraham!”


The angel of God spoke to me in that dream. The angel said, ‘Jacob!’


But if the Lord says that he is not pleased with me, then he can do anything he wants to me.”


The Lord saw Moses was coming to look at the bush. So God called to Moses from the bush. God said, “Moses, Moses!”


Then I heard my Lord’s voice. The Lord said, “Who can I send? Who will go for us?”


During the night, God explained the secret to Daniel in a vision. {\cf2\super [10]} Then Daniel praised the God of heaven.


God said, “Listen to me! You will have prophets. [168] I, the Lord, will show myself to them in visions. [169] I will speak to them in dreams.


One afternoon about three o’clock, Cornelius saw a vision. {\cf2\super [202]} He saw it clearly. In the vision an angel from God came to him and said, “Cornelius!”


Peter said, “I was in the city of Joppa. While I was praying, a vision {\cf2\super [221]} came to me. In the vision I saw something coming down from the sky. It looked like a big sheet. It was being lowered to the ground by its four corners. It came down and stopped very close to me.

After Paul had seen the vision, we immediately prepared to leave for Macedonia. We understood that God had called us to tell the Good News {\cf2\super [335]} to those people.


That night Paul saw a vision. {\cf2\super [334]} In this vision, a man from the country of Macedonia came to Paul. The man stood there and begged, “Come across to Macedonia. Help us!”

“In Damascus a man named Ananias {\cf2\super [438]} came to me. Ananias was a man that truly worshiped God; he obeyed the law \{of Moses\}. All the Jews who lived there respected him.


Saul has seen a vision. {\cf2\super [188]} In this vision a man named Ananias came to him and put his hands on him. Then Saul could see again.”


For three days Saul could not see; he did not eat or drink.


When I was in Damascus, the governor under King Aretas wanted to arrest me. So he put guards around the city.


I did not go to see the apostles {\cf2\super [7]} in Jerusalem. These men were apostles before I was. But, without waiting, I went away to Arabia. Later I went back to the city of Damascus.


The Lord called Samuel. Samuel answered, “Here I am.”
