Jeroboam ruled as king for 22 years. Then he died and was buried with his ancestors. [176] His son Nadab became the new king after him.


Nadab did bad things against the Lord. He sinned the same way his father Jeroboam had sinned. And Jeroboam also caused the people of Israel to sin.


The people of Israel were divided into two groups. Half of the people followed Tibni the son of Ginath and wanted to make him king. The other half of the people followed Omri.
