I will be to him a father: and he shall be to me a son. And if he commit any iniquity, I will correct him with the rod of men, and with the stripes of the children of men.


For he is alone, and no man can turn away his thought. And whatsoever is soul hath desired, that hath he done.


He hath established them for ever, and for ages of ages: he hath made a decree, and it shall not pass away.


Who shew from the beginning the things that shall be at last, and from ancient times the things that as yet are not done, saying: My counsel shall stand, and all my will shall be done.


Simon Peter answered and said: Thou art Christ, the Son of the living God.


And as he was yet speaking, behold a bright cloud overshadowed them. And lo, a voice out of the cloud, saying: This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased: hear ye him.


And behold a voice from heaven, saying: This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.


And behold they cried out, saying: What have we to do with thee, Jesus Son of God? art thou come hither to torment us before the time?


And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we saw his glory, the glory as it were of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.


No man hath seen God at any time: the only begotten Son who is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.


For God so loved the world, as to give his only begotten Son; that whosoever believeth in him, may not perish, but may have life everlasting.


This same God hath fulfilled to our children, raising up Jesus, as in the second psalm also is written: Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee.


And as they went on their way, they came to a certain water; and the eunuch said: See, here is water: what doth hinder me from being baptized?


Who was predestinated the Son of God in power, according to the spirit of sanctification, by the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ from the dead;
