But the eyes of the wicked shall decay, and the way to escape shall fail them, and their hope the abomination of the soul.


For the Lord knoweth the way of the just: and the way of the wicked shall perish.


their judges falling upon the rock have been swallowed up. They shall hear my words, for they have prevailed:


Man is like to vanity: his days pass away like a shadow.


Be glad in the Lord, and rejoice, ye just, and glory, all ye right of heart.


For thou art the glory of their strength: and in thy good pleasure shall our horn be exalted.


God, who is glorified in the assembly of the saints: great and terrible above all them that are about him.


Let a cry be heard out of their houses: for thou shalt bring the robber upon them suddenly, because they have digged a pit to take me and have hid snares for my feet.


And the shepherds shall have no way to flee, nor the leaders of the flock to save themselves.


For I will close up thy scar and will heal thee of thy wounds, saith the Lord: because they have called thee, O Sion, an outcast: This is she that hath none to seek after her.


When my soul was in distress within me, I remembered the Lord: that my prayer may come to thee, unto thy holy temple.


Now all this was done, that the scriptures of the prophets might be fulfilled. Then the disciples all leaving him, fled.


At my first answer no man stood with me, but all forsook me: may it not be laid to their charge.


And David said in his heart: I shall one day or other fall into the hands of Saul. Is it not better for me to flee, and to be saved in the land of the Philistines, that Saul may despair of me, and cease to seek me in all the coasts of Israel? I will flee then out of his hands.
