And the king of Israel answering said: Tell him: Let not the girded boast himself as the ungirded.


Bring ye to the Lord, O ye kindreds of the Gentiles, bring ye to the Lord glory and honour:


Because he is ignorant of things past, and things to come he cannot know by any messenger.


Come, let us take wine, and be filled with drunkenness: and it shall be as to-day, so also to-morrow, and much more.


For he saith: In an accepted time have I heard thee; and in the day of salvation have I helped thee. Behold, now is the acceptable time; behold, now is the day of salvation.


And the Lord also will deliver Israel with thee into the hands of the Philistines. And to-morrow thou and thy sons shall be with me. And the Lord will also deliver the army of Israel into the hands of the Philistines.
