And the people hearing these very bad tidings mourned: and no man put on his ornaments according to custom.


The folly of a man supplanteth his seeps: and he fretteth in his mind against God.


Lord, they have sought after thee in distress: in the tribulation of murmuring thy instruction was with them.


Say therefore to them: As I live, saith the Lord: According as you have spoken in my hearing, so will I do to you.


But Josue the son of Nun, and Caleb the son of Jephone lived, of all them that had gone to view the land.


But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into the exterior darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.


For know ye that afterwards, when he desired to inherit the benediction, he was rejected; for he found no place of repentance, although with tears he had sought it.


Neither can Israel stand before his enemies, but he shall flee from them: because he is defiled with the anathema. I will be no more with you, till you destroy him that is guilty of this wickedness.
