Raising up the needy from the earth, and lifting up the poor out of the dunghill::


Behold, God is my saviour: I will deal confidently, and will not fear, because the Lord is my strength and my praise, and he is become my salvation.


And thou shalt say to him: See thou be quiet: fear not, and let not thy heart be afraid of the two tails of these firebrands, smoking with the wrath of the fury of Rasin king of Syria, and of the son of Romelia.


O thou sword of the Lord, how long wilt thou not be quiet? Go into thy scabbard: rest and be still.


And thou son of man, prophesy and say: Thus saith the Lord God concerning the children of Ammon and concerning their reproach. And thou shalt say: O sword, O sword, come out of the scabbard to kill, be furbished to destroy and to glitter,


And king Herod hearing this, was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him.


And this gospel of the kingdom, shall be preached in the whole world, for a testimony to all nations, and then shall the consummation come.


How then shall the scriptures be fulfilled, that so it must be done?


In your patience you shall possess your souls.


And when you shall hear of wars and seditions, be not terrified: these things must first come to pass; but the end is not yet presently.


For I say to you, that this that is written must yet be fulfilled in me: And with the wicked was he reckoned. For the things concerning me have an end.


LET not your heart be troubled. You believe in God, believe also in me.


Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, do I give unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, nor let it be afraid.


That you be not easily moved from your sense, nor be terrified, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by epistle, as sent from us, as if the day of the Lord were at hand.


And there went out another horse that was red: and to him that sat thereon, it was given that he should take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another, and a great sword was given to him.
