Who maketh a man that is a hypocrite to reign for the sins of the people?


The dissembler with his mouth deceiveth his friend: but the just shall be delivered by knowledge.


For he that did prevail hath failed; the scorner is consumed; and they are all cut off that watched for iniquity:


Let them alone: they are blind, and leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both will fall into the pit.


Hypocrites, well hath Isaias prophesied of you, saying:


But woe to you scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites; because you shut the kingdom of heaven against men, for you yourselves do not enter in; and those that are going in, you suffer not to enter.


So you also outwardly indeed appear to men just; but inwardly you are full of hypocrisy and iniquity.


Thou hypocrite, cast out first the beam in thy own eye, and then shalt thou see to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.


AND when great multitudes stood about him, so that they trod one upon another, he began to say to his disciples: Beware ye of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.


And answering them, he said: Which of you shall have an ass or an ox fall into a pit, and will not immediately draw him out, on the sabbath day?


Or how canst thou say to thy brother: Brother, let me pull the mote out of thy eye, when thou thyself seest not the beam in thy own eye? Hypocrite, cast first the beam out of thy own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to take out the mote from thy brother's eye.


Whom when the Lord had seen, being moved with mercy towards her, he said to her: Weep not.


And John called to him two of his disciples, and sent them to Jesus, saying: Art thou he that art to come; or look we for another?
