Now when God destroyed the cities of that country, remembering Abraham, he delivered Lot out of the destruction of the cities wherein he had dwelt.


And stay without the camp seven days. He that hath killed a man, or touched one that is killed, shall be purified the third day and the seventh day.


And he said to them: You know how abominable it is for a man that is a Jew, to keep company or to come unto one of another nation: but God hath shewed to me, to call no man common or unclean.


Saying: Fear not, Paul, thou must be brought before Caesar; and behold, God hath given thee all them that sail with thee.


For what have I to do to judge them that are without? Do not you judge them that are within?


That you were at that time without Christ, being aliens from the conversation of Israel, and strangers to the testament, having no hope of the promise, and without God in this world.


By faith Rahab the harlot perished not with the unbelievers, receiving the spies with peace.


By faith Noe, having received an answer concerning those things which as yet were not seen, moved with fear, framed the ark for the saving of his house, by the which he condemned the world; and was instituted heir of the justice which is by faith.


That you will save my father and mother, my brethren and sisters, and all things that are theirs, and deliver our souls from death.


And she said to them: Get ye up to the mountains, lest perhaps they meet you as they return; and there lie ye hid three days, till they come back. And so you shall go on your way.


If when we come into the land this scarlet cord be a sign, and thou tie it in the window, by which thou hast let us down: and gather together thy father and mother, and brethren and all thy kindred into thy house.


And when he had shewn them, they smote the city with the edge of the sword: but that man and all his kindred they let go:
