And he shall set up a standard unto the nations: and shall assemble the fugitives of Israel and shall gather together the dispersed of Juda, from the four quarters of the earth.


Behold, these shall come from afar: and, behold, these from the north and from the sea, and these from the south country.


A voice of the people from the city, a voice from the temple, the voice of the Lord that rendereth recompense to his enemies.


But, The Lord liveth, who hath brought out and brought hither the seed of the house of Israel, from the land of the north and out of all the lands to which I had cast them forth: and they shall dwell in their own land.


Therefore, fear thou not, my servant Jacob, saith the Lord, neither be dismayed, O Israel: for, behold, I will save thee from a country afar off, and thy seed from the land of their captivity. And Jacob shall return and be at rest and abound with all good things and there shall be none whom he may fear.


Therefore all they that devour thee shall be devoured: and all thy enemies shall be carried into captivity: and they that waste thee shall be wasted and all that prey upon thee will I give for a prey.


Behold, I will bring them from the north country and will gather them from the ends of the earth: and among them shall be the blind and the lame, the woman with child and she that is bringing forth, together, a great company of them returning hither.


Behold, I will gather them together out of all the lands to which I have cast them out in my anger and in my wrath and in my great indignation: and I will bring them again into this place and will cause them to dwell securely.


For I will take you from among the Gentiles, and will gather you together out of all the countries, and will bring you into your own land.


After many days thou shalt be visited: at the end of years thou shalt come to the land that is returned from the sword, and is gathered out of many nations, to the mountains of Israel which have been continually waste: but it hath been brought forth out of the nations, and they shall all of them dwell securely in


But what have you to do with me, O Tyre, and Sidon, and all the coast of the Philistines? will you revenge yourselves on me? and if you revenge yourselves on me, I will very soon return you a recompense upon your own head.


Because I have bent Juda for me as a bow, I have filled Ephraim: and I will raise up thy sons, O Sion, above thy sons, O Greece, and I will make thee as the sword of the mighty.


For with what judgment you judge, you shall be judged: and with what measure you mete, it shall be measured to you again.


Seeing it is a just thing with God to repay tribulation to them that trouble you:


For judgment without mercy to him that hath not done mercy. And mercy exalteth itself above judgment.


He that shall lead into captivity, shall go into captivity: he that shall kill by the sword, must be killed by the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.


For they have shed the blood of saints and prophets, and thou hast given them blood to drink; for they are worthy.


For true and just are his judgments, who hath judged the great harlot which corrupted the earth with her fornication, and hath revenged the blood of his servants, at her hands.


And Adonibezec said: Seventy kings, having their fingers and toes cut off, gathered up the leavings of the meat under my table. As I have done, so hath God requited me. And they brought him to Jerusalem, and he died there.


And Samuel said: As thy sword hath made women childless, so shall thy mother be childless among women. And Samuel hewed him in pieces before the Lord in Galgal.
