And shall be broken. Gripings and pains shall take hold of them: they shall be in pain as a woman in labour. Every one shall be amazed at his neighbour: their countenances shall be as faces burnt.


Ask ye, and see if a man bear children? Why then have I seen every man with his hands on his loins, like a woman in labour, and all faces are turned yellow?


For the affliction of the daughter of my people, I am afflicted: and made sorrowful: astonishment hath taken hold on me.


Heth. Their face is now made blacker than coals and they are not known in the streets: their skin hath stuck to their bones: it is withered and is become like wood.


She is destroyed, and rent, and torn: the heart melteth, and the knees fail, and all the loins lose their strength: and the faces of them all are as the blackness of a kettle.


Where is now the dwelling of the lions, and the feeding place of the young lions, to which the lion went, to enter in thither, the young lion, and there was none to make them afraid?
