For thou hast struck all them who are my adversaries without cause: thou hast broken the teeth of sinners.


If I have remembered thee upon my bed, I will meditate on thee in the morning:


The horse is prepared for the day of battle: but the Lord giveth safety.


And it shall come to pass in that day, that the remnant of Israel and they that shall escape of the house of Jacob shall lean no more upon him that striketh them: but they shall lean upon the Lord, the Holy One of Israel, in truth.


Behold, God is my saviour: I will deal confidently, and will not fear, because the Lord is my strength and my praise, and he is become my salvation.


I am, I am, the Lord: and there is no saviour besides me.


The makers of idols are all of them nothing: and their best beloved things shall not profit them. They are their witnesses, that they do not see nor understand, that they may be ashamed.


Verily thou art a hidden God, the God of Israel, the saviour.


Israel is saved in the Lord with as eternal salvation: you shall not be confounded, and you shall not be ashamed for ever and ever.


Assemble yourselves, and come, and draw near together, ye that are saved of the Gentiles. They have no knowledge that set up the wood of their graven work and pray to a god that cannot save.


WHO is this that cometh from Edom, with dyed garments from Bosra, this beautiful one in his robe, walking in the greatness of his strength? I, that speak justice, and am a defender to save.


For thou art our father: and Abraham hath not known us, and Israel hath been ignorant of us. Thou, O Lord, art our father, our Redeemer: from everlasting is thy name.


O expectation of Israel, the Saviour thereof in time of trouble: Why wilt thou be a stranger in the land and as a wayfaring man turning in to lodge?


Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed: save me, and I shall be saved: for thou art my praise.


When their children shall remember their altars and their groves and their green trees upon high mountains,


And the Lord said to me in the days of king Josias: Hast thou seen what rebellious Israel hast done? She hath gone out of herself upon every high mountain and under every green tree and hath played the harlot there.


For thus saith the Lord: Rejoice ye in the joy of Jacob and neigh before the head of the Gentiles. Shout ye and sing, and say: Save, O Lord, thy people, the remnant of Israel.


And I had brought them into the land for which I lifted up my hand to give it them. They saw every high hill, and every shady tree, and there they sacrificed their victims: and there they presented the provocation of their offerings and there they set their sweet odours and poured forth their libations.


And I will have mercy on the house of Juda, and I will save them by the Lord their God: and Iwill not save them by bow, nor by sword, nor by battle, nor by horses, nor by horsemen.


You adore that which you know not: we adore that which we know; for salvation is of the Jews.
