The poor will speak with supplications, and the rich will speak roughly.


That say: Depart from me. Come not near me, because thou art unclean. These shall be smoke in my anger, a fire burning all the day.


And Herod with his army set him at nought, and mocked him, putting on him a white garment, and sent him back to Pilate.


For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that being rich he became poor, for your sakes; that through his poverty you might be rich.


For if there shall come into your assembly a man having a golden ring, in fine apparel, and there shall come in also a poor man in mean attire,


But you have dishonoured the poor man. Do not the rich oppress you by might? and do not they draw you before the judgment seats?


These are murmurers, full of complaints, walking according to their own desires, and their mouth speaketh proud things, admiring persons for gain's sake.
