But of the tree of knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat. For in what day soever thou shalt eat of it, thou shalt die the death.


And the woman saw that the tree was good to eat, and fair to the eyes, and delightful to behold: and she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave to her husband who did eat.


And David sent messengers, and took her, and she came in to him, and he slept with her: and presently she was purified from her uncleanness.


He hath conceived sorrow, and hath brought forth iniquity: and his womb prepareth deceits.


And in it he hath prepared the instruments of death, he hath made ready his arrows for them that burn.


The Lord shall be known when he executeth judgments: the sinner hath been caught in the works of his own hands.


Clemency prepareth life: and the pursuing of evil things, death.


You shall conceive heat, you shall bring forth stubble: your breath as fire shall devour you.


There is none that calleth upon justice, neither is there any one that judgeth truly: but they trust in a mere nothing and speak vanities. They have conceived labour and brought forth iniquity.


Then went one of the twelve, who was called Judas Iscariot, to the chief priests,


But I say to you, that whosoever shall look on a woman to lust after her, hath already committed adultery with her in his heart.


But every man is tempted by his own concupiscence, being drawn away and allured.


For of his own will hath he begotten us by the word of truth, that we might be some beginning of his creatures.
