Far be it from thee to do this thing, and to slay the just with the wicked, and for the just to be in like case as the wicked. This is not beseeming thee, thou who judgest all the earth, wilt not make this judgment.


my God, his mercy shall prevent me.


Therefore God dealt well with the midwives: and the people multiplied and grew exceedingly strong.


The blessing of the Lord is upon the head of the just: but iniquity covereth the mouth of the wicked.


By the fruit of his own mouth shall a man be filled with good things, and according to the works of his hands it shall be repaid him.


Evil pursueth sinners: and to the just good shall be repaid.


Death and life are in the power of the tongue: they that love it, shall eat the fruits thereof.


But though a sinner do evil a hundred times, and by patience be borne withal, I know from thence that it shall be well with them that fear God, who dread his face.


No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper: and every tongue that resisteth thee in judgment, thou shalt condemn. This is the inheritance of the servants of the Lord and their justice with me, saith the Lord.


The Lord saith to me: Assuredly it shall be well with thy remnant, assuredly I shall help thee in the time of affliction and in the time of tribulation, against the enemy.


But I will visit upon you according to the fruit of your doings, saith the Lord: and I will kindle a fire in the forest thereof: and it shall devour all things round about it.


Shalt thou reign, because thou comparest thyself to the cedar? Did not thy father eat and drink, and do judgment and justice, and it was then well with him?


But this thing I commanded them, saying: Hearken to my voice, and I will be your God and you shall be my people. And walk ye in all the way that I have commanded you, that it may be well with you.


The soul that sinneth, the same shall die: the son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, and the father shall not bear the iniquity of the son. The justice of the just shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him.


And the Lord said to him: Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and mark Thau upon the foreheads of the men that sigh and mourn for all the abominations that are committed in the midst thereof.


And the land shall be made desolate, because of the inhabitants thereof, and for the fruit of their devices.


Seek the Lord, all ye meek of the earth, you that have wrought his judgment: seek the just, seek the meek: if by any means you may be hid in the day of the Lord's indignation.


And you shall return, and shall see the difference between the just and the wicked: and between him that serveth God, and him that serveth him not.


And he said to him: Be thou also over five cities.


That it may be well with thee and thy children after thee, when thou shalt do that which is pleasing in the sight of the Lord.


For God is not unjust, that he should forget your work, and the love which you have shewn in his name, you who have ministered, and do minister to the saints.
