And thou shalt dwell in the land of Gessen: and thou shalt be near me, thou and thy sons, and thy sons' sons, thy sheep, and thy herds, and all things that thou hast.


And there I will feed thee, (for there are yet five years of famine remaining): lest both thou perish, and thy house, and all things that thou hast.


And God sent me before, that you may be preserved upon the earth, and may have food to live.


Then Joseph went in and told Pharao, saying: My father and brethren, their sheep and their herds, and all that they possess, are come out of the land of Chanaan; and behold they stay in the land of Gessen.


And all its people from one end of the borders of Egypt, even to the other end thereof,


That you may have corn. The fifth part you shall give to the king: the other four you shall have for seed, and for food for your families and children.


Fear not: I will feed you and your children. And he comforted them, and spoke gently and mildly.


Honour thy father and thy mother, that thou mayest be longlived upon the land which the Lord thy God will give thee.


And they shall hang upon him all the glory of his father's house, divers kinds of vessels, every little vessel: from the vessels of cups even to every instrument of music.


Whereas we might have been burdensome to you, as the apostles of Christ: but we became little ones in the midst of you, as if a nurse should cherish her children:


For bodily exercise is profitable to little: but godliness is profitable to all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.


But if any widow have children, or grandchildren, let her learn first to govern her own house, and to make a return of duty to her parents: for this is acceptable before God.


But if any man have not care of his own, and especially of those of his house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.


And thou shouldst have one to comfort thy soul, and cherish thy old age. For he is born of thy daughter-in-law: who loveth thee: and is much better to thee, than if thou hadst seven sons.
