And the Lord God sent him out of the paradise of pleasure, to till the earth from which he was taken.


Israel said to him: Thy brethren feed the sheep in Sichem: come, I will send thee to them. And when he answered:


And Adam knew Eve his wife: who conceived and brought forth Cain, saying: I have gotten a man through God.


And it came to pass after many days, that Cain offered, of the fruits of the earth, gifts to the Lord.


And he asked them: What is your occupation? They answered: We thy servants are shepherds, both we, and our fathers.


And Noe, a husbandman, began to till the ground, and planted a vineyard,


Thy wife as a fruitful vine, on the sides of thy house. Thy children as olive plants, round about thy table.


Now Moses fed the sheep of Jethro his father-in-law, the priest of Madian: and he drove the flock to the inner parts of the desert, and came to the mountain of God, Horeb.


And the Lord took me when I followed the flock, and the Lord said to me: Go, prophesy to my people Israel.


That the blood of all the prophets which was shed from the foundation of the world, may be required of this generation,


From the blood of Abel unto the blood of Zacharias, who was slain between the alter and the temple: Yea I say to you, It shall be required of this generation.


You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and he stood not in the truth; because truth is not in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father thereof.


In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil. Whosoever is not just, is not of God, nor he that loveth not his brother.


Not as Cain, who was of the wicked one, and killed his brother. And wherefore did he kill him? Because his own works were wicked: and his brother's just.


Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer. And you know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in himself.
