By these were divided the islands of the Gentiles in their lands: every one according to his tongue and their families in their nations.


And the name of the second river is Gehon: the same is it that compasseth all the land of Ethiopia.


And the sons of Noe who came out of the ark, were Sem, Cham, and Japheth: and Cham is the father of Chanaan.


Which when Cham the father of Chaanan had seen, to wit, that his father's nakedness was uncovered, he told it to his two brethren without.


And they found fat pastures, and very good, and a country spacious, and quiet, and fruitful, in which some of the race of Cham had dwelt before.


And he said that he would destroy them: had not Moses his chosen stood before him in the breach: To turn away his wrath, lest he should destroy them.


And to cast down their seed among the nations, and to scatter them in the countries.


And let them sacrifice the sacrifice of praise: and declare his works with joy.


And it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord shall set his hand the second time to possess the remnant of his people, which shall be left from the Assyrians, and from Egypt, and from Phetros, and from Ethiopia, and from Elam, and from Sennaar, and from Emath, and from the islands of the sea.


Get ye up on horses and glory in chariots: and let the valiant men come forth, the Ethiopians and the Libyans that hold the shield and the Lydians that take and shoot arrows.


The Persians and Lydians and the Libyans were thy soldiers in thy army: they hung up the buckler and the helmet in thee for thy ornament.


The Persians, Ethiopians, and Libyans with them, all with shields and helmets.
