BEHOLD my servant: I will uphold him. My elect: my soul delighteth in him. I have given my spirit upon him: he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles.


Come ye near unto me and hear this: I have not spoken in secret from the beginning. From the time before it was done, I was there, and now the Lord God hath sent me, and his spirit.


THE spirit of the Lord is upon me, because the Lord hath anointed me. He hath sent me to preach to the meek, to heal the contrite of heart, and to preach a release to the captives and deliverance to them that are shut up:


But if I by the Spirit of God cast out devils, then is the kingdom of God come upon you.


And Jesus being baptized, forthwith came out of the water: and lo, the heavens were opened to him: and he saw the Spirit of God descending as a dove, and coming upon him.


And the apostles coming together unto Jesus, related to him all things that they had done and taught.


And it came to pass, whilst he blessed them, he departed from them, and was carried up to heaven.


And it came to pass, when the days of his assumption were accomplishing, that he steadfastly set his face to go to Jerusalem.


And of his fulness we all have received, and grace for grace.


BEFORE the festival day of the pasch, Jesus knowing that his hour was come, that he should pass out of this world to the Father: having loved his own who were in the world, he loved them unto the end.


I speak not of you all: I know whom I have chosen. But that the scripture may be fulfilled: He that eateth bread with me, shall lift up his heel against me.


Knowing that the Father had given him all things into his hands, and that he came from God, and goeth to God;


I came forth from the Father, and am come into the world: again I leave the world, and I go to the Father.


And now I come to thee; and these things I speak in the world, that they may have my joy filled in themselves.


Jesus saith to her: Do not touch me, for I am not yet ascended to my Father. But go to my brethren, and say to them: I ascend to my Father and to your Father, to my God and your God.


He said therefore to them again: Peace be to you. As the Father hath sent me, I also send you.


For he whom God hath sent, speaketh the words of God: for God doth not give the Spirit by measure.


But Jesus, knowing in himself, that his disciples murmured at this, said to them: Doth this scandalize you?


And we have believed and have known, that thou art the Christ, the Son of God.


Who also said: Ye men of Galilee, why stand you looking up to heaven? This Jesus who is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come, as you have seen him going into heaven.


And when they were come in, they went up into an upper room, where abode Peter and John, James and Andrew, Philip and Thomas, Bartholomew and Matthew, James of Alpheus, and Simon Zelotes, and Jude the brother of James.


Beginning from the baptism of John, until the day wherein he was taken up from us, one of these must be made a witness with us of his resurrection.


And when he had said these things, while they looked on, he was raised up: and a cloud received him out of their sight.


Jesus of Nazareth: how God anointed him with the Holy Ghost, and with power, who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed by the devil, for God was with him.

For Jesus is not entered into the holies made with hands, the patterns of the true: but into heaven itself, that he may appear now in the presence of God for us.


Who is on the right hand of God, swallowing down death, that we might be made heirs of life everlasting: being gone into heaven, the angels and powers and virtues being made subject to him.


That you may be mindful of those words which I told you before from the holy prophets, and of your apostles, of the precepts of the Lord and Saviour.


The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to make known to his servants the things which must shortly come to pass: and signified, sending by his angel to his servant John,
