If then thou wilt hearken to all that I shall command thee, and wilt walk in my ways, and do what is right before me, keeping my commandments and my precepts, as David my servant did: I will be with thee, and will build thee up a faithful house, as I built a house for David; and I will deliver Israel to thee.


And Asa did that which was right in the sight of the Lord, as did David his father.


Because David had done that which was right in the eyes of the Lord, and had not turned aside from any thing that he commanded him, all the days of his life, except the matter of Urias the Hethite.


And Solomon said: Thou hast shewn great mercy to thy servant David my father, even as he walked before thee in truth, and justice, and an upright heart with thee; and thou hast kept thy great mercy for him, and hast given him a son to sit on his throne, as it is this day.


But yet he took not away the high places: for the people still sacrificed and burnt incense in the high places.


And he did that which was right before the Lord, but yet not like David his father. He did according to all things that Joas his father did.


Achaz was twenty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem. He did not that which was pleasing in the sight of the Lord his God, as David his father.


And he did that which was good before the Lord, according to all that David his father had done.


And the Lord was with Josaphat: because he walked in the first ways of David his father; and trusted not in Baalim,

Josias was eight years old when he began to reign; and he reigned one and thirty years in Jerusalem.


By his inclinations a child is known, if his works be clean and right.

Keep therefore and do the things which the Lord God hath commanded you. You shall not go aside neither to the right hand, nor to the left.


Take courage therefore, and be very valiant: that thou mayst observe and do all the law, which Moses my servant hath commanded thee. Turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayst understand all things which thou dost.
