And he cried out against the altar in the word of the Lord, and said: O Altar, Altar, thus saith the Lord: Behold, a child shall be born to the house of David, Josias by name. And he shall immolate upon thee the priests of the high places, who now burn incense upon thee: and he shall burn men's bones upon thee.


Now Joas was seven years old, when he began to reign.


Manasses was twelve years old when he began to reign, and he reigned five and fifty years in Jerusalem: the name of his mother was Haphsiba.


But the people of the land slew all them that had conspired against king Amon: and made Josias his son their king in his stead.


And they buried him in his sepulchre in the garden of Oza: and his son Josias reigned in his stead.


O Lord our Lord, how admirable is thy name in the whole earth! For thy magnificence is elevated above the heavens.


Woe to thee, O land, when thy king is a child, and when the princes eat in the morning.


And I will give children ato be their princes: and the effeminate shall rule over them.


The word of the Lord which came to him in the days of Josias the son of Amon king of Juda, in the thirteenth year of his reign.


But if he beget a son who, seeing all his father's sins, which he hath done, is afraid and shall not do the like to them:


The word of the Lord that came to Sophonias the son of Chusi, the son of Godolias, the son of Amarias, the son of Ezechias, in the days of Josias the son of Amon king of Juda.


And Ezechias begot Manasses. And Manasses begot Amon. And Amon begot Josias.
