His prayer also, and his being heard, and all his sins, and contempt, and places wherein he built high places, and set up groves, and statues before he did penance, are written in the words of Hozai.


But as for me, I have walked in my innocence: redeem me, and have mercy on me.


And Moses making haste, bowed down prostrate unto the earth, and adoring,


And then come, and accuse me, saith the Lord: if your sins be as scarlet, they shall be made as white as snow: and if they be red as crimson, they shall be white as wool.


I am, I am he that blot out thy iniquities for my own sake: and I will not remember thy sins.


Let the wicked forsake his way and the unjust man his thoughts, and let him return to the Lord; and he will have mercy on him: and to our God, for he is bountiful to forgive.


And Balaam said to Balac: Stand a while by thy burnt-offering, until I go, to see if perhaps the Lord will meet me, and whatsoever he shall command, I will speak to thee.


So I say to you, there shall be joy before the angels of God upon one sinner doing penance.


And Jesus said to him: Amen I say to thee, this day thou shalt be with me in paradise.


Wherefore I say to thee: Many sins are forgiven her, because she hath loved much. But to whom less is forgiven, he loveth less.


But these are written, that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God: and that believing, you may have life in his name.


He that believeth in the Son, hath life everlasting; but he that believeth not the Son, shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.


Amen, amen I say unto you, that he who heareth my word, and believeth him that sent me, hath life everlasting; and cometh not into judgment, but is passed from death to life.


All that the Father giveth to me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me, I will not cast out.


And this is the will of my Father that sent me: that every one who seeth the Son, and believeth in him, may have life everlasting, and I will raise him up in the last day.


Then Jesus said to them: Amen, amen I say unto you: Except you eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, you shall not have life in you.


In him every one that believeth, is justified.


For what things soever were written, were written for our learning: that through patience and the comfort of the scriptures, we might have hope.


For the wages of sin is death. But the grace of God, life everlasting, in Christ Jesus our Lord.


Now concerning virgins, I have no commandment of the Lord; but I give counsel, as having obtained mercy of the Lord, to be faithful.


Therefore, seeing we have this ministration, according as we have obtained mercy, we faint not;


That we may be unto the praise of his glory, we who before hoped Christ:


Unto the praise of the glory of his grace, in which he hath graced us in his beloved son.


That he might shew in the ages to come the abundant riches of his grace, in his bounty towards us in Christ Jesus.


When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be made wonderful in all them who have believed; because our testimony was believed upon you in that day.


Who before was a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and contumelious. But I obtained the mercy of God, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief.


Whereby he is able also to save for ever them that come to God by him; always living to make intercession for us.


Which had been some time incredulous, when they waited for the patience of God in the days of Noe, when the ark was a building: wherein a few, that is, eight souls, were saved by water.


And account the longsuffering of our Lord, salvation; as also our most dear brother Paul, according to the wisdom given him, hath written to you:


The Lord delayeth not his promise, as some imagine, but dealeth patiently for your sake, not willing that any should perish, but that all should return to penance.
