14 Herds will lie down in the middle of it, every kind of wild animal. Both eagle owls  and herons will roost in the capitals of its pillars. Their calls will sound  from the window, but devastation  will be on the threshold, for he will expose the cedar work.

‘I will make her a swampland and a region for herons,  and I will sweep her away with the broom of destruction.’ This is the declaration of the  Lord of Armies.


who says, ‘I will build myself a massive palace, with spacious upstairs rooms.’ He will cut windows  in it, and it will be panelled with cedar and painted bright red.


I saw the Lord standing beside the altar,  and he said: Strike the capitals of the pillars so that the thresholds shake; knock them down on the heads of all the people. Then I will kill the rest of them with the sword. None of those who flee will get away; none of the fugitives will escape.


The seacoast will become pasturelands with caves for shepherds and pens for sheep.


He called out in a mighty voice: It has fallen, Babylon the Great has fallen! She has become a home for demons, a haunt for every unclean spirit, a haunt for every unclean bird, and a haunt  for every unclean and despicable beast.  ,
