Look, I have created the craftsman who blows on the charcoal fire and produces a weapon suitable for its task; and I have created the destroyer to cause havoc.


A measuring line will once again stretch out straight to the hill of Gareb  and then turn towards Goah.


Moab’s horn is chopped off;  his arm is shattered.’ This is the Lord’s declaration.


He brought me there, and I saw a man whose appearance was like bronze,  with a linen cord and a measuring rod in his hand.  He was standing by the city gate.


Now there was a wall surrounding the outside of the temple.  The measuring rod in the man’s hand was six units of 53 centimetres;  each unit was the standard length plus 8 centimetres.  He measured the thickness of the wall structure; it was 3.2 metres,  and its height was the same.


As the man went out east with a measuring line in his hand,  he measured off five hundred and thirty metres  and led me through the water. It came up to my ankles.

Therefore, this is what the Lord says: In mercy, I have returned to Jerusalem; my house will be rebuilt within it #– #this is the declaration of the Lord of Armies #– #and a measuring line will be stretched out over Jerusalem.


Then I looked up and saw four horns.


Then I was given a measuring reed  like a rod,  with these words: ‘Go  and measure the temple of God and the altar, and count those who worship there.


The one who spoke with me had a golden measuring rod  to measure the city, its gates, and its wall.
