But if you return to me and carefully observe my commands, even though your exiles were banished to the farthest horizon,  I will gather them from there and bring them to the place where I chose to have my name dwell.’


In every province and every city where the king’s command and edict reached, gladness and joy took place among the Jews. There was a celebration and a holiday.  , And many of the ethnic groups of the land professed themselves to be Jews because fear of the Jews  had overcome them.


Remember these things, Jacob, and Israel, for you are my servant; I formed you, you are my servant; Israel, you will never be forgotten by me.  ,


From ancient times no one has heard, no one has listened to, no eye has seen any God except you who acts on behalf of the one who waits for him.


They will not labour without success or bear children destined for disaster, for they will be a people blessed by the  Lord along with their descendants.


I will produce descendants from Jacob, and heirs to my mountains from Judah; my chosen  ones will possess it, and my servants will dwell there.


‘Look, the days are coming’ #– #this is the Lord’s declaration #– #‘when I will sow the house of Israel  and the house of Judah with the seed of people and the seed of animals.


You who have escaped the sword, go and do not stand still! Remember the  Lord from far away, and let Jerusalem come to your mind.


Then your survivors will remember me among the nations where they are taken captive,  how I was crushed by their promiscuous hearts that turned away from me and by their eyes that lusted after their idols.  They will loathe themselves because of the evil things they did,  their detestable actions of every kind.


I will sow her  in the land for myself, and I will have compassion on Lo-ruhamah; I will say to Lo-ammi: You are my people, and he will say, ‘You are my God.’


for I am about to give the command, and I will shake the house of Israel among all the nations, as one shakes a sieve, but not a pebble will fall to the ground.


Then the remnant of Jacob will be among many peoples like dew from the  Lord, like showers on the grass, which do not wait for anyone or linger for mankind.


Saul agreed with putting him to death. On that day a severe persecution broke out against the church in Jerusalem, and all except the apostles were scattered throughout the land of Judea and Samaria.


So those who were scattered went on their way preaching the word.


For if you were cut off from your native wild olive tree and against nature were grafted into a cultivated olive tree, how much more will these #– #the natural branches #– #be grafted into their own olive tree?
