You planned evil against me; God planned it for good to bring about the present result #– #the survival of many people.


He said: Lord, God of our ancestors, are you not the God who is in heaven,  and do you not rule over all the kingdoms of the nations?  Power and might are in your hand, and no one can stand against you.


If it is a matter of strength, look, he is the powerful one! If it is a matter of justice, who can summon   him?


You have turned things around, as if the potter were the same as the clay. How can what is made say about its maker, ‘He didn’t make me’? How can what is formed say about the one who formed it, ‘He doesn’t understand what he’s doing’?


All the inhabitants of the earth are counted as nothing, and he does what he wants  with the army of heaven and the inhabitants of the earth. There is no one who can block his hand or say to him, ‘What have you done? ’


For the Son of Man   will go just as it is written   about him,   but woe   to that man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed! It would have been better for him if he had not been born.’


Though he was delivered up according to God’s determined plan and foreknowledge, you used  lawless people to nail him to a cross and kill him.


Then you will say,  ‘Branches were broken off so that I might be grafted in.’


Now if Christ is proclaimed as raised from the dead,  how can some of you say, ‘There is no resurrection of the dead’?


But someone will ask, ‘How are the dead raised? What kind of body will they have when they come? ’


No one undergoing a trial should say, ‘I am being tempted by God,’ since God is not tempted by evil, and he himself doesn’t tempt anyone.


But someone will say, ‘You have faith, and I have works.’  Show me your faith without works, and I will show you faith by my works.
